Hope you've all had a great week
On Wednesday I finally got a chance to see Kinky Boots here in the Westend. It's been on my list for such a long time and it really lived up to everything I'd heard about the show.
It was a great girls night out, we'd booked tickets on a deal from Time Out and even though they were stated as Restricted view with a slight over hang from the balcony we still had a great view.
Its been a while since I've been to the Adelphi Theatre but it's always a great theatre to visit. The seats are comfy and for the tall ones among us theres great leg room as well. The theatre is a short walk from Charing Cross station further along The Strand.
The show itself is just brilliant from start to finish. Set to the music written by Cyndi Lauper it tells the story of Charlie who inherits a shoe factory from his father and after struggling to find a niche for selling shoes when the factory struggles he forms a friendship with cabaret performer Lola. Together they develop a range of shoes to be showcased in Milan and learn lessons from each other along the way.
This show is definitely one to add to your list when looking for a show in the Westend
Have a great rest of the week
