Piano Legends Live - London

Piano Legends Live

Hey Everyone,

So tonight’s outing for the last show of the year was to see the Piano Legends tour at the Barbican in London.

The show from start to finish was filled with a wide range of songs that everyone knows and loves.

It was a perfect 5star feel good way of finishing off this year and could have happily sat and watched more with the energy the cast and dancers gave on stage.

With the tour only having a few dates this time I think I can safely say it would be great to see more follow.

Let me know if you’ve been to see the show and what you thought.

Have a great New Year

The Band Westend Run

The Band - Westend Run

Hey Everyone

Well it’s finally here The Band Musical has arrived at the Theatre Royal Haymarket for its limited run. Trust me when I say you will want to grab a ticket while it’s here. The tour has done incredibly well and is still going and playing to packed out crowds every night and I want to bet London will be no exception.

If you grew up loving a boy band this show is something you can totally relate too in more ways than one.
Playing some of the classic hits the cast bring the house down and each song works perfectly for the story it is trying to tell throughout the show.

Check back a few blogs to see my review on the tour from Wimbledon in October.

I wish the cast an amazing run in London and remember they are here till Jan 12th when the tour continues so don’t miss out.

Have a great weekend

Rock of Ages Tour - Liverpool Empire

Rock of Ages Tour - Liverpool Empire

Hey Everyone

So tonight we’ve been to see the Rock of Ages Tour on it’s stop on the tour in Liverpool.

It’s been a long wait for the show to return to the stage but for fans of previous productions - you have nothing to worry about the show was brilliant from the start and it all works so well.

The whole cast work - we both agree star of the show for us tonight was Lucas Rush, his role as Lonny has the whole audience laughing and cheering the whole way through the show.

The vocals from Danielle Hope, Luke Walsh and Zoe Birkett were all incredible and all massive hits with tonight’s crowd.

The crowd itself we both agreed were the loudest for a theatre show we’ve heard in a long time and shows the love of 80s Rock still lives on.

Looking ahead it would be good to see this cast and version of the show get a run in the Westend as well.

If you haven’t yet go grab a ticket or maybe a few for the tour and be prepared for a great night out.

Have a great week

The Band tour live in Wimbledon

The Band Musical - New Wimbledon Theatre

Hey Everyone

Today’s blog is for all Take That fans out there and for anyone who grew loving a boy band.
The Band musical tour arrived in London last night after just over a year on tour to sell out crowds around the UK. With the vast back catalogue of Take That’s hits it tells the story of friendship and growing up with a love of a boy band.

The writers of the show have got it spot on with the references and I think for anyone who grew up with the love for any boy band not just Take That it’s got so many parts that are relatable in the story.

The atmosphere in the theatre from the start was great and at parts it really did feel like you were actually watching a concert. I’d tried hard not to look at too much about the show but was really impressed with the whole production. I mean how often can you say you see a plane on stage in a show.

If you are a fan of Take That this is one I really recommend to grab a ticket for, check out the band website for more tour dates for the show and details for its Westend transfer later this year.

Thanks for reading and have a great week.

Kerry Ellis - Live at Zedel

Kerry Ellis

Live at Zedel Residency 2018

15th September

Hey Everyone

Tonight’s review is from Live at Zedel in Piccadilly in London.

I’ve been counting down for a while to see this show tonight and see Kerry live on stage again.

The show itself is very different and more intimate from the tour earlier this year which from the start of the show made it more special to watch.

The whole way through the show we were treated to some of Kerry’s classics accompanied just by piano which had everyone singing along.

It was great to hear some favourites given new arrangements but I have to say hearing Kerry’s version of This is Me I really hope this makes it on to an album soon as I will be straight in to the queue to get it.

Kerry’s residency finishes on Sept 30th with tickets selling fast so make sure you don’t miss out on a lovely evening.

Thanks for reading and have a great weekend

Eugenius Super Fan Sunday 2nd Sept 18

It was the bolt of lightning that bought the 80s back with a bang to the Westend earlier this year and now has struck a second time with a bigger bang at The Other Palace in London

Hey Everyone

The 5 Star bolt of 80's joy is back

So following from the incredible acoustic press launch earlier this week Eugenius reopened this week to sell out crowds and standing ovations at The Other Palace.

With some clever new bits including the shows new hit song Hands Up which in my eyes is a great ad to the show and opens act 2 brilliantly.

Emily Tierney nails her performance of the song perfectly in the show, it’s definetly one to head over to iTunes for and sounds great turned up loud.
Joanne Clifton has recorded it for the shows soundtrack and it was released this week. Pop over to iTunes and Spotify now and get it on repeat.

The show still has it’s incredible buzz from the first run earlier in the run.
With the add of Super fan Sunday which give you the chance to win exclusive prizes and also attend a QnA with the cast after the show which I attended today I think this makes the show something really different to others in the Westend right now.

It was great to hear from the creative team first and then from the cast who in turn answered some great questions from the audience.
If you can grab a Sunday ticket you are in for a great afternoon.
Head over to The Other Palace website now it’s not one to be missed.

The show is running now until October 7th and earns a 5⭐️ ⚡️from me

Thanks for checking out the new review and have a great week.
If your popping in to see Eugenius drop a comment below and let us know what your thoughts are

Eugenius - Acoustic Session and QnA with the cast and creatives

Eugenius Acoustic Session and Live QnA

Hey Everyone

So Tuesday evening was something very special
Ahead of it's arrival back in the Westend at The Other Palace this weekend we were lucky to get a chance to not only see the cast in action but to see some of the shows biggest hit's live and acoustic.
The talent of the new cast is incredible and after hearing the songs acoustic it added something even more special to the magic of what will be seen on stage this weekend.

After a great QnA session which included the cast and creative team answering questions on the show it really added excitement before the shows return at the weekend.
The shows following has got bigger and bigger since the shows first run at the start of the year and shows no sign of stopping.

With a few short sleeps to go check out Joanne Clifton's new video now with the brand new song in the show Hands Up over on You Tube now and out at midnight on all platforms. It's one that will have you rocking out for sure.

Check back soon for our new show review

Interview With Ben Adams ahead of the return of Eugenius to the Westend

Lightning has struck twice Eugenius returns to The Other Palace on Sept 1st

Hey Everyone,
Welcome to a special set of Eugenius themed blogs heading your way this week
To start off we have a brand new interview with Ben Adams ahead of the shows return in a few days time

How does it feel on the run up to the start of Eugenius returning to the Westend ?
Well, it’s a mixture of feelings. I’m super excited to show everyone what we’ve been working on since the last run. New script, new song, new choreography. And a totally amazing cast! It’s even better! But it’s also a fairly stressful time for everyone making sure it’s right and we have a very limited amount of tech days to do that before it’s open so we’ve got a lot of work to do. I’m also trying to juggle the a1 reunion, and flashdance so I’m all over the place at the moment-literally Havnt had a second to myself in months!

Seeing how popular the show was earlier in the year what’s been the biggest personal highlight for you?
Just seeing the joy on people’s faces when they left. It’s the first time I’ve created something that I can experience with the audience and sit amongst them rather than being on stage. It’s an amazing feeling.

What’s the biggest thing you are looking forward to for the shows return?
The new song! Hands Up! is released on 31st August and I think it might be my favourite of the whole show!

What’s next after this for Eugenius ?
We have some big plans for it next year but we need to keep that under our hats for the moment-don’t like to get excited about things until I see signatures on the dotted line......

What’s been the most surreal thing that’s happened so far on the Eugenius journey
Seeing people get tattoos of the lyrics. It’s amazing that Eugenius has meant so much to people that they want to have it with them for the rest of their lives-it’s incredible.

A massive thank you to Ben for taking part in the interview for us.
Don't forget to keep an eye later today for some exclusive footage from the press evening coming live on our instagram channel over on Box Office Bloggers Instagram

Madagascar UK Tour - Glasgow

Hey Everyone

So tonight was a visit as I’m here in Glasgow to the Madagascar Tour which has been at the Kings theatre this week.
I’ve proved to myself I’m never far from a theatre when I went exploring when I got here to find it literally round the corner from where I’m staying.

It’s been a few weeks since I saw the show at Wimbledon but the cast are firmly at home in their roles now which made the show great from start to finish.

It was great to have a chance to see the show again, it’s really one you have to take the family to see this year.
If you are a fan of the films this stage adaption is a must, it’s been put together so well and works for all ages
Check back a couple of blogs for the press night at Wimbledon to see more of what we got up to.

Have a great rest of the week

Fame Uk Tour - Manchester 26th July 18

Fame UK Tour - Manchester 26th July 18

Hey Everyone

So for tonight’s review I’m handing over to Ali who is reviewing the Fame UK Tour up in Manchester

Here is her review from tonight’s show

It’s been 30 years since Fame first opened on Broadway in 1988.  I was a child, much to young to know anything about the phenomenon that has now has no less than 7 west end runs.  Yet the iconic songs from the musical seem to have always been a part of my life, I can’t remember not knowing the words!

We took our seats minutes before the show was about to start, and from the beginning I was enjoying myself. The music, lights, dancing captured me straight away. But one of the things I’m really a fan of is the costumes. Crop tops, tights, shorts and leg warmers! What girl didn’t grow up wanting to wear those and dance?

I’ll be honest I don’t know much about Jorgie Porters background other than her stint in holly oaks, but to watch her dance, I was more than impressed. As Iris she was cute and endearing in the way Jorgie does best!

Mica Paris as Miss Sherman blew the audience away singing ‘these are my children’. Ending to a standing ovation mid show.

The show not only captures fun and talent , but also tackles real life issues. From the teenage crush and unrequited love to dyslexia and drug abuse. Touching subjects handled well.

Overall an extremely enjoyable night.  Often in a show I will get distracted by the set changes and goings on in the background but tonight I was engrossed from start to finish.

My night at the theatre may be over for now, but Fame really is gonna live forever!

Madagascar UK Tour - New Wimbledon Theatre

Madagascar UK Tour

New Wimbledon Theatre

25th July 18

Hey Everyone

Welcome to what can only be described as one of the hottest press nights we’ve been too.

Tonight at the New Wimbledon Theatre was the press night for the brand new stage adaption of Madagascar the Musical.

If you’ve seen the films you will know the adventures of Alex, Gloria, Marty, Melman,   King Julien and of course the Penguins. With Matt Terry taking on the role of Alex the Lion the show takes us on the adventure when the animals escape from Central Park Zoo and end up in Madagascar.

The soundtrack to the show had everyone singing along with a firm favourite of all fans dancing along to I Like to Move It. We all agreed the dancing and performance that went with this song made a great highlight of the show.

The kids loved it from the start and couldn’t stop talking about it as we left.

I have to give a special to all the cast in costumes and controlling the puppets, you managed so well in the heat.

You wouldn’t know looking at the cast the show is a few days old they look like the show has been going for a few months they work that well together.

I have to say some films I am sceptical of when they say are being made into a show but now after seeing the whole show tonight I’m completely sold.

This show is perfect for its younger audience and will have them captured when they see it.

We all recommend it, the kids loved it and didn’t want it to finish.

If you are looking for a show to see with the family this is our recommendation for you for 2018

Don’t forget to leave us a comment if you’ve seen the show or are going to see it.

Have a great rest of the week

Flashdance UK tour - Milton Keynes

Flashdance Tour - Milton Keynes

Hey Everyone

Welcome to a very Flashdance themed blog with our day out in Milton Keynes this weekend.

It’s been a while since both of us have been to the Milton Keynes Theatre and we both agreed that it rates high up in our favourites to visit. It gets bonus points for the extra legroom and how nice and cool the Aircon was.

It’s been a while since we’ve both seen the show so it was great to see some of the changes that have been made.
The energy from both shows today was amazing but Joanne Clifton seriously steals it with how much she puts into each flawless performance.

We both agree that Ben and Joanne’s performance of Here and Now is one of the highlights of the show and if you haven’t already head over to ITunes to download it now (we definitely think this should pave a way for a cast album as they smash every song)

If you haven’t already seen the tour and love the 80s music and the film go and grab a ticket now

We do have to ask Joanne - why did you drag Ben across the stage by his feet ? That was brilliant

Hope you all have a great week

The Muppets take The o2

The Muppets take The o2 - 13th July 18

Hey Everyone

Well what can I say last night at The o2 arena a lot of my childhood dreams came true. I’ve been a huge fan of The Muppets since I was young and I think a huge geek level was reached getting to see them live on stage.

The show itself was filled was classics that all generations knew from young to old. I can safely say I think everyone enjoyed it from start to finish.

There were also some very special guests including David Tennant reprising his role of Dr Who and a special appearance from Kylie Minogue singing with Kermit which was a great highlight of the evening.

The show was so well put together and had everyone entertained and in my opinion really went too quick. I really hope more of these shows follow again one day.

Check over on Instagram for some more pictures from the show

Legally Blonde Tour - New Wimbledon Theatre

Legally Blonde UK Tour - New Wimbledon Theatre
18th June 18

Oh My God You Guys Elle Woods is in Town

This week the Legally Blonde UK Tour is back in London at the New Wimbledon Theatre. Starring Lucie Jones as Elle, Rita Simons as Paulette and Bill Ward as Professor Callahan the cast have this show down to a fine art and had the audience singing and cheering along last night.

The energy from the whole cast was there from the very start of the show with firm classic songs including Oh My God You Guys and Bend and Snap Everyone was captured by the colourful sets and energetic dance routines.

I have to give a special nod to 3 characters for this review. Both Lucie and Rita played their roles brilliantly and work great together on stage but a special nod really has to go to Bruiser as well.

If you haven’t seen Legally Blonde now is the time to book a ticket and see how Elle follows her heart for love to Harvard Law school and finds herself in a career she never dreamed of and learning a lot about love in the process.

Legally Blonde is playing all this week at the New Wimbledon Theatre 18th - 23rd June

Westend Live 16th June 2018

Hey Everyone,

Here's my round up of what has been an epic start to this years Westend Live

Today was an early start and even on arrival the queue was already roughly at the same spot from last years one so I knew it was going to be a busy day.

Luckily no rain spoiled any play today which was a bonus

After a 90 minute wait it was through the security check point and in to find a spot. Normally I head for the same area but this year with a different view slightly further back and what has now proved a great zoom lens on the camera I have some great pictures to share with you all.

If you haven't already had a look check out our Instagram here on

So on to the Top 5 performances of the day and trust me it is a hard one to pick

Alice Fearn sing Defying Gravity from Wicked
This show is always one of my highlights each year but Alice pulled off a flawless performance today  and the whole crowd loved it - check out instagram for the video and some more pictures

The cast took to the stage to sing some of the best songs from the show including Never Had a Friend Like Me, A Whole New World and Matthew Croke singing Proud of Your Boy.

The cast of show reunited on stage today to some of the shows songs ahead of the new run that open at the start of September. Singing Don't Shoot for the Stars shoot higher, Comic book Kind of Love and Go Eugenius the reaction from the crowd said it all - check out instagram for some video high lights

Mamma Mia
This show is always a crowd pleaser for Westend Live and had the crowd on its feet for the whole performance. It's completely worth a visit to see the show for a great night out.

Tina the Musical
I've heard a lot of great things about this show and was really impressed from the start of the great energy the whole cast put on which has completely sold it to me as a show and its high up on my list to see very soon.

Day 2 is coming tomorrow

Check back tomorrow for more pictures and an update

Have a great weekend
