Throw back Thursday - footloose the musical

Throwback Thursday - Footloose the musical

Welcome to our first throw back Thursday blog what we aim to do is revisit some of our favourite shows that we've come to love over the years.

Now my favourite film for many years has been Footloose. You can imagine how excited I was to find it was coming to London.
With tickets booked my best friend and I arrived at the Novello Theatre. We'd managed to get front row centre on the balcony and had a completely
amazing view of the show.
By the interval I was hooked and made a quick visit to the merchandise stall and from memory I think half of it came home with me.
By the time the show ended the energy of the dance off at the end stayed with me for days to come.
We were soon plotting our next visit and soon returned a few weeks later. As we'd booked through last minute we had to pick our tickets up from the box office and the lovely guy there explained that as the first two rows were out for orchestra space did we mind being front row centre .... No complaints at all 😀

The cast themselves were such a pulling point for this show, I'd never seen such energy before.
Needless to say I made a lot of visits to see the show on its first run in London

The shows soundtrack was literally on repeat for the whole run and it was really sad when the show came to an end.
It wasn't long after a new tour that it made a swift return to London with a new cast and the welcome return of some of the old.

I managed to get to quite a few shows on this run and the energy was still there.
I'll be the first to put my hand up and say I'd be first to be in the queue for tickets for this show when it comes back which I secretly really hope it does very soon.

Thank you for taking the time to read this check back next week for another theatre throw back

Love Holly
