Theatre On a Budget Part 2 - Waitress

Waitress the Musical

Hey Everyone,

Welcome back to the blog

Today's blog is the second part of our new series of seeing Westend Shows on a budget and features the hit Westend musical Waitress.

Since arriving in the Westend it has firmly taken its place as one of the most sought after shows to try and get tickets for.

For this show we decided to give the Today Tix App a try. If you haven't got the app already head to your App Store and get it downloaded to see the latest deals they have available. For a limited time they had a special deal to grab tickets for £15. Check out their website here for more information. Today Tix Website

We ended up with Row F in the Upper circle which was a perfect view to see the show. The booking process was very easy, the app selects the best available for the price you have selected. Once paid you can just pick the tickets up at the box-office when you arrive at the theatre. The show itself is worth a 5 star rating from the start. The story follows Jenna and her work friends Becky and Dawn. With lots of storylines running during the show the one thing that shines through is how strong the girls friendships are and no matter what happens they are always there for each other.
The show tackles a lot of subjects but also has a perfect mixture of humour, laughter, great music and recipes for great pies (make sure you check out the amazing recipe book available with the shows merchandise for all avid cooks it's one worth adding to your collection).I think a cooking blog may have to follow as the book just makes you feel hungry by looking through it.
It was completely worth the wait to see and one we've actually already decided we'd like to see again.

Normally it's easy to give star of the show to a member of the cast but there was no faulting anyone on stage last night. They all work so well together and it makes the show a recipe for a great night out.
Don't miss out on your chance to see the show in the Westend where it plays its last performance on July 4th 2020 before heading out on its UK tour. It will make a return to the Westend after the tour.

On a side note which is great for lots of shows now, you are encouraged to take pictures during the curtain call. I think this is great more Westend shows are doing this now as it does avoid people needing to sneak pictures during the show.

Check back soon for the next part of this series. If you missed the first part, Click here
If you've seen Waitress let me know below what you thought of the show and if you are catching it on tour.

Have a great weekend

Love Holly
